Management Team

Michael Holt, the Chief Executive Officer and a Board Member of Philips Lumileds Lighting Company, U.S. LLC, has led the company's growth since its inception November 1, 1999.

Holt began his career in the Optoelectronics Division at Hewlett-Packard. Holt went on to various sales and sales management positions for the Components Group until 1992 when he became the business development manager for the RF/MW Communications Components Group. In 1994 Holt was appointed manager of the Isolation Components Business Unit and then managed WW Order Management Operations for the Components and Automotive Business Units. In 1999, shortly before the founding of Lumileds, Michael Holt was appointed as the General Manager, Optoelectronics Division, Hewlett-Packard/Agilent.

Jan Bouten is the Chief Financial Officer and a member of the board of Philips Lumileds Lighting Company, U.S.  He joined Philips Lumileds in November of 2008.

Bouten began his career with Philips Electronics, Semiconductor Division in 1990 as an Industrial and Business Engineer.  Four years later he moved into the Finance and Accounting function as the Financial Controller for one of its business lines.

Throughout his career with Philips, Bouten has held several senior financial controller positions in large established business units, as well as, entrepreneurial start-up business units.  He served as Financial Controller within the Multi Market Semiconductor Business Unit (1994-1997), within the Foundry Business Unit, both in the Netherlands and United States (1998-2002) and within the Connected Multimedia Solutions Business Unit (2003-2004).  Prior to his appointment with Philips Lumileds, Bouten was the Chief Financial Officer of the Intellectual Property and Standards Business Group within Philips Electronics.
